Stuck

I'm stuck,
In a rut
And don't seem to be able to get out.

I definately have goals and things I want to accomplish
But keep putting them off - one day at a time.

I was on a roll in many ways
Eating well, exercising, feeling stronger and better
Then came vacation and other obligations.
All good things - but getting me further out of any routine.

New Zealand
Australia
Came back to be a course setter for the LAOC orienteering event
Lots of work
Then getting Dave off on the PCT and San Diego
Updating Dave's blog and website
Then off to Palm Desert for a concert weekend
Then off to Burbank to volunteer helping kids for another few days.
More PCT stuff
(And yes, I will be adding posts and updates on all this stuff too . . . another thing on my list).

Now work seems to have quieted down
But I cannot seem to get moving. . .

I work out a day here
Run a day there
But nothing consistent . . .

No schedule
No plan
No commitment
No results
Another day has passed .

I know it is really just mind over matter -
but sometimes I question myself.
Do I have the mental fortitude to start again?

You! HA! Of COURSE you have the mental fortitude to start again. And you will! We have the mud run coming up ;)

I think your mind and body are telling you you have alot on your plate and need to either:

1. slow down and smell sweaty workout clothes
2. learn to say no
3. prioritize for your mental and physical well-being and taper the rest
4. you need a glass of wine
5. a little bit of everything above.

...or you can stop belly-aching, get off your 5th point of contact, and get moving!

Or, like in Stan's case, you can wait until all your loved ones at your age have died from obesity, diabetes, heart complications, and strokes...then maybe you'll snap out of it! By the way, he is almost down 100lbs, that's right..2 zeros there.

Get moving buddy, your Mud Run Team started training like 8 weeks ago...
