So Sunday we went off "In Search Of" another orienteering adventure at Griffith Park.
The day was all about going up and down hills. We would have had a great overall time except for one control. We initially took the wrong path, but we realized our mistake fairly quickly. But then instead of backtracking a few minutes to easily get to the trail we needed, we kept trying to keep going and find a short cut. Well, there was none. So we ended up going all the way down the hill and climbing all the way back up on a "kind of" trail (do you see it?) - which was fairly steep in parts.
Let's just say it added quite a bit to our overall time. But the uphills gave us some good views of the valley (although a bit hazy) - and we had a fun time!
(Yes we did end up using the trail you see to get to the top of this hill.)
