Ice House Canyon (Memorial Day 2009)

So our next hike was Ice House Canyon - up near Mt. Baldy.
The hike to the saddle is 7.2 miles and about a 2600 foot climb up.
The trail starts by a stream, which had a surprising amount of water in it.
From there it is up the steep switch backs . . . and up . . .and up . . .
We stopped for snacks and a look around at the top. It is a few miles to the other peaks, but left them for another day. Then it was all down hill!
We only suffered one real injury - Kary decided to do the splits in the loose rock -
All in all it was a fun hike! (Thanks Dave for the suggestion.)

Nice hike, but you went all that way and not to the top of Mt. Baldy? Or am I missing something?

Well, if not then maybe next time..to the TOP!

Nice photos as always. THANKS so much for all the Wilson photos.

Nope - we did not go to Baldy this time. Had to get back for the BBQ!!! But next time we are thinking about doing the three T's. and Baldy or Baldy, who knows.

You're welcome. Always fun to have pics to remember the stuff we do!
