Boot Brew VII (November 21, 2009)

So this was my first bootbrew - and we all had a great deal of fun. I am sure your first question is, "what's a boot brew?" Well, turns out "boot" is Latin for running up and down a lot of hills to find random places. "Brew" is Latin for beer that you must drink quickly before finding the next random place.

I have to say I have much practice of running then drinking, but have not really practiced the drinking in the middle of a run.

So our team set out for our little adventure: For the most part, navigation was good except for the short cut: Now to the novice eye, this short cut might not look like a short cut at all. Rather it might look like a bunch of crazy people trying to climb down a mountain where there was no trail only to find themselves not much better off and a lot dirtier. O.k. maybe that's what it ended up being after all.

But 8 beers, 5.25 miles, and 3 stops later, I found myself back at the finish line - no worse for the wear.

Thanks to Eric, Vanessa, Donna, Robby, Beth, Michael, Sarah, Joanne, Dave O. and everyone else who volunteered and made this event possible!
