So Team Misdirected and Kary set out to participate in a fun urban challenge. It was supposed to be more brains than brawn -- but other than it was going to be in Old Town Pasadena, we did not know much. Unlike other urban races, we did not line up extra help or even try to go scout. We were just four girls heading out for a few hours of fun in the sunshine.
So we headed to Memorial Park in Pasadena to find out what this was all about. Everyone there was casual - more about strolling than running to this crowd. We started out and were off -- in the wrong direction. But 20 minutes later we figured out our error and we heading in the right direction.
Also turns out - having help lined up to look things up on the internet would have been quite helpful, as at one point we sat down for 20 minutes trying to find things on our smart phones - or in this case not so smart phones.
Here's a not so action shot as people are looking things up. There was not much to report. No crazy climbing, no barbed wire, although we did cross against the light once or twice. But without much effort we came in 5th and had a few hours of fun walking around Old Town Pasadena.
After that it was time for a shower, a yummy BBQ and then off to see Eat Pray Love.
So all-in-all, it was a good day!
