Zzzzzzz

Well after 20,000 + miles of flying, 16+ airplane trips, and lots of sitting, I am actually home for a week. I was supposed to be flying again this week, but Tropical Storm Faye saved me from another cross-country trek. But once I stopped, I have been so exhausted. I can only imagine it is the traveling for the last month or more that is catching up with me, but it frustrating because I have been walking around for 2 days like a walking zombie. But even with my complete exhaustion, it has been a good few days since I returned on Saturday. Saturday night I met up with the gang at California Wine and Cheese for - you guessed it - wine and cheese. It was nice to get out and see everybody for a change. Sunday I took a navigation course, so went hiking around Malibu Creek State Park for a few hours. (More on this in a later post). Monday - I actually made it to boot camp. For the first time I did all my burpees with a full push-up (from the toes, not the knees) and was starting to get the hang of a kip pull-up. Not that I can do much of a pull-up. It's something I have never been able to do, but it is a goal of mine I really want to work on. Tuesday - I went to Crossfit where I learned the clean and jerk. It was somewhat frustrating because I ended up over thinking things and making a mess out of the clean. But it was great to be exercising, meeting some new people, and starting to learn a new skill. Today - Sadly it was a day of sloth and laziness. I think being on the go, go, go has caught up to me. So I decided to take a day or two and try to catch my breath.
