Back at It

So Monday night, I decided it was time to get back to some training. The marathon training for Tuesday was one-mile repeats. So off to the track I went with much trepidation on my ability to run. After all, it is hard to get any cardio in when sitting on a plane. Well, my first mile I ran in 10:24, which is pretty slow. The second one I ran in 9:41, which was better but obviously nothing to write home about. (Although apparently something to blog about.) Under the training guidelines, since I had actually improved my time, I "had the opportunity" to run one more. My third mile was about 10:15. I say "about" because while trying to find the light on my watch, I messed up some of my timing. Anyway, it was in the ball park. So on the downside, I was slow. But the upside was it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Since I am going to be home for two weeks, I am going to try to keep at it and hopefully work won't get too much in the way. I just need to find some consistency right now!
