Bicycle, Bicycle, Bicycle (January 4, 2009)

As it was my turn to organize, this past Saturday I we took our first trip of the new year to the beach. I won't tell you how much time I spent trying to pick the perfect meeting place. As most of us had not been riding much, we wanted a ride that was not too far, not too short, and would allow us to go down the beach and come back. Turns out after much looking, Wilderness Park in Downey was the ticket.

So our group met there in the morning, which was a bit cold and overcast. We had a pleasant ride down to seal beach, where the sun finally came out behind the clouds.

After some good food, some laughs, and pictures, we headed back up to the park.

All told it was a little shy of 30 miles. Our goal is to try to organize a ride each month. So, anyone interested in joining, just let me know!
