Progress

So the last week I have really trying to eat right and exercise. (Let's put work aside for now, shall we?)

Last weekend, I spent 25+ hours volunteering with a moot court program for middle school kids. So that left me with limited time, but Saturday night when I got home, I went for a 3 mile run. I broke in my new running shoes and felt pretty good.

Monday I ended up at boot camp for 3 rounds of run small block loop (about 1/3rd of a mile I think); tire flips (15); farmers walk (20 lbs to Ivy and back); and 25 pushups. My forearms were sore for days.

Tuesday was a swimming night. Jane and I went to work on our swimming for about 45 minutes.

Wednesday night was back to boot camp. We were supposed to head up to Razor Back ridge and back, but one of our team members ended up feeling a bit light headed, so the task was really getting her down safely.

Thursday lunch was the first day I really ate poorly, and I paid for it at boot camp, where we ran 4 miles. My calves were cramping again and I was a bit deydrated. I had 60 ounces or water before I ever got to bootcamp, but evidently my body was saying it was not enough. But I finished with a decent time. Next time will be better, I know.

This weekend it is up to Big Bear for some hiking and relaxation. I'll stay home one of these days!
