Thursday night I actually made it back to boot camp. I have to say, I really missed being there and seeing everyone. I just did not realize how much, until I got there.
I won't say it was "easy", because that would just make Eric come up with some evil thing to do - at which point he would look at me with his smart a@* grin and ask me how "easy" I thought it was now. But it was a little different than a normal, as there was little, to no, running.
But it did not matter what we did really. Just being there, seeing everyone, and pushing myself (literally as we were doing lots of push ups) made my day!
The funny part of the story starts now . . . I awoke the next morning at 4:30 a.m., and my left arm hurt when I went to straighten it. At first I could not figure it out and thought maybe I slept on it weird or something. It took me a minute or two later before it dawned on me that my arms were sore from all the push ups at boot camp.
Anyway, it all just reminds me (including the soreness) that I cannot wait until my travels cease and I can get back into a regular boot camp routine rather than "just visiting" a day here or there!
