January 24th - More Crossfit

Well, we are about 2 weeks from my first event of the year - Snowshoe the Bear.  Only problem is that I'm not sure there will be snow in Big Bear.  The downside of it being a beautiful January in southern California.  Nonetheless, I have been exercising pretty consistently -- trying to get back into shape.  My goal is to beat my time from last year - preferably by about 5 minutes. 

Last night was Crossfit again.  (Side note -- I have been exercising since my last post -- just was lazy about writing.  Must get back to it.)  Back squat @ 70 pounds.

The WOD was AMRAP 10 minutes:
5 overhead  (used 60lbs and push press / push jerk mainly)
10 pushups (did them all from the toes, despite some failures)
15 pull-ups (Used the blue and red bands, hoping to use blue and purple soon)

Finished 3 complete rounds.  Round 4 made it through all but the last 10 pullups.  Arms / shoulders were smoked, but it felt good to be working hard.

But noticed I really need to work on my flexibility.  With working out, mobility, other things I need to do - I really need to win the lottery so I can play instead of work all day!! Oh well, to dream . . .
