So Tuesday set before me a few choices, reminding me how it is that various choices impact your goals.
Choice number one was lunch. There were yummy BBQ ribs, mac and cheese, fried chicken (which I'm not a fan of), and chicken parm panini's. As much as I love bread, pasta, and ribs - I know that good nutrition is super important. So I opted for a salad with some tuna.
Choice number two was working out. Driving home, I know that the snatch awaited me at Crossfit. I suck at the snatch. I also was feeling a little sore and tired. So contemplated talking a walk, rowing, or sitting down and watching the Ohio State v. Arkansas Game.
I eventually made the right choice, going to Crossfit.
Snatched 1/8 at 35 pounds (which was really light - but was the only weight I had done snatch at.)
The AMRAP in minutes
1 dead lift
3 chin ups
3 dead lifts
3 chin ups
5 dead lifts
3 chin ups
Scaled way back on my dead lifts to 95 pounds. And chin ups required red and blue band. Got throuhg 5 rounds and part of 6 (although spent lots of time walking outside to the chin up bar).
Long way to go, but looking forward to getting stronger again. It all depends on the good choices, and sometimes little choices made every day.
