A Day At The Races

So Saturday I was set to have a productive day . . . some shopping, some organizing, and some work. I got up early and made my first stop, which was Costco. After making my "donation" there, I was home again. I was getting ready to go out shopping for some new furniture when I was somehow convinced that I should go join some people at the Santa Anita race track. It was opening weekend and a gorgeous day - so how could I say no?

As you can see, the sun was shining over the race track and the foothills behind it.

While I did not bet big, I did win a bet on every race I actually bet on.

The key was that ended up a bit on the positive side (both monetarily and in my head).

So, while I did not do any more shopping, organizing or even work - I did get a nice day at the races and a few more dollars in my pocket.
