Quick Christmas Recap

I decided to take a quick trip to Denver this year for Christmas. The weather was beautiful (although a little cold) and it was certainly nice to visit. While I had officially decided to boycott Christmas this year - other than for the kids - it was sort of appropriate that this Christmas was a bit different than all of my Christmas pasts. Christmas Eve was pretty normal, made some lasagna, everyone was over, and we watched the kids open some presents until they realized, based on the NORAD Santa tracker, that Santa was just around the corner. Christmas Day consisted of watching the kids open presents, going to the movies (saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button), a nap in an attempt to ditch a headache, dinner, a little Wii (always good for a laugh), and then some real bowling (again good for a laugh). As I do not think I have ever gone to the movies on Christmas day before and know I have never gone bowling on Christmas day before, I was a bit surprised by how many people were there. But I guess everyone has their own Christmas traditions. Then Friday came, and I was on my way back home.
