with lots to do
but I got to spend time with good friends
and under a sky that was so beautiful and blue!
Friday night was full
with friends and some beer,
a few shots, some tequila
and somehow the morning was already here.
Saturday morning I did some work,
then met a friend for some brunch,
Then shared spent some time with other friends
on the phone for a bunch.
Saturday night was spent
with Joanne, Jane and me
walking, scouting, mulled wine
and some laughs with the Daves at Nintendo Wii.
Sunday I got up early
and off to Church I did go,
Then home to change my clothes
followed by a hike we did not know.
On Angie, on Stuart (the dog),
on Kary, and me
Pretty trees and rocks and streams
We were off to climb over and see.
We hiked to the waterfall
All peaceful and clean
Then hiked back to the car
All appreciating the entire scene.
So as we drove down the hill
And this view went out of sight.
I was thankful for it all
And to all a good night!
O.k., enough of my corny poetry. But it was a nice weekend, a nice hike, and a great way to spend some time on an absolutely gorgeous Southern California day. I still did not get any shopping done, I guess that is what tomorrow and the tomorrow after that is for!

Yup it was a beautiful weekend. How long did this poem take? You stalling? Hmmm? Bite the bullet and stimulate the economy. Get out there and SPEND!
Truth was - the poem did not take that long and was fun. And trust me, I will make and have made my donations to the economy!
