Leaving On Jet Plane

. . . don't know when I'll be back again.
Well, I do know that - but this John Denver song has been stuck in my head for weeks and I have no idea why! But I digress. So after the great morning at Vasquez Rocks last Sunday and lunch with the group, I headed home, did some work, took a nap, a shower, and then headed to the office and eventually the airport. I had a red-eye to Chicago. My flight out was late leaving L.A., so I don't think we left until after 1:00 a.m. This is a picture of a random person waiting for our flight. I have not yet figured out why she had one shoe on and the other off. But I sure did wish I was sleeping at the time.
I worked on the plane, mainly because it was too cold to even try to sleep! Nothing warms you up more than boring documents.
I arrived in Chicago at about 6:00 a.m. central time, grabbed breakfast, and did some reading before my meeting. Had my meeting. It was a bit cold with some snow on the ground.
Then after the day-long meeting in Chicago, I headed back to the airport. (Yup another 24 hour trip to Chicago and back!) As an added bonus, my flight home Monday night was also late. So as it turns out, it was again close to 1 a.m. when I crawled into bed on Monday night.
Tuesday morning I was up before 5 a.m. - and was busy with work for the remainder of the week! No boot camp, no crossfit, no fun. :-( So now it is less than two weeks before Christmas. I don't know how will I get my Christmas cards out and shopping done. And I might be heading back to the airport on Wednesday morning again - may get to spend day 32 and 33 in Connecticut. Argh!!!

So are you back in town? Do you even know where you are? Look around you. Does it seem familiar? And not look like a hotel or an airport?
